Sunday School and Bible Study

Ash Street Baptist Church provides Bible study on Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. for all ages through our Sunday School organization.  Our Sunday School provides age and graded classes for children and youth.  Classes for adults are divided by age.  There are co-ed, men's and women's classes available.  Sunday School provides an excellent opportunity to learn about the Bible.  It is also an excellent place to develop support, friendships, and Christian fellowship.  Our Sunday School is a ministry organization.  Our goal is to welcome everyone. You  do not have to be a member of Ash Street Baptist Church join our Sunday School. We invite you to join us!

Disciple Life University is a wonderful way to improve your life! Classes meet on Sunday evenings from 5:00 until 5:45 p.m. Current classes include managing family finances, Master Life, and a study of the book of Daniel. Other classes including marriage enrichment, and parenting will be offered in the future.

Senior Adult Ministries

Ash Street Baptist has a wonderful ministry to Senior Adults.  Our church sponsors a monthly club of the "Young at Heart" the "YAH" club meets the first Thursday of every month, and all senior citizens (55 and older) are welcome.  We invite you to bring a covered dish. Oh, and by the way, be sure to put something good in it!

Our Senior Adults also plan excursions and are on the go all the time.  We invite you to come and worship, study the Bible and go and have a good time with us!

Youth Ministry

Children's Ministries

Wednesday Night is a great night to be a child at Ash Street Baptist Church.  There is a program for every age child. 

Children ages 3 - Kindergarten are welcome in Mission Friends.  A program where children begin to learn the concept of what is means to be a missionary.  There are also lots of games to play.

Girls in Action

For the girls in grades 1st - 6th, we have our Girls in Action program.  This is further study about missionaries, but we learn in lots of different ways!  Usually through games and monthly steps.  After a girl achieves the requirements for a certain year, they are recognized in a ceremony and given any badges they have earned and a charm for their accomplishments.

  Our GA's and Acteens made cookies and Valentines to give to the  children at Calvary Refuge!

 The kids at Calvary Refuge loved the skits we performed! 

Girls in Action study about missionaries in Guam.  We discovered that the weather is usually Hot and Humid.

ROYAL AMBASSADORS

We haven't forgotten the guys!  Guys are invited to join the Royal Ambassadors during this time.  They also learn about missionary work, but they also have Road Rally Races and love to play Kick ball!! But what we really learn about is how to tells others about Christ, and how his message is carried around the world.

The time frame for Mission Friends, GA's and RA's is on Sundays from 1:00 pm through 2:00 pm. 

Audio/Video Ministry

Into electronics, video or sound?  Our audio/video ministry is unmatched for a church this size.  We work hard to provide quality videos of all services for our shut-ins and others who want to use this ministry to share the Gospel with others.  Our volunteer staff does a tremendous job.

Our Video's reach the home bounded members as well as Nursing homes.  Need a tape of a service let us know. Volunteers needed. Also we have need for Sound Board persons,and camera operators .

Music/Fine Arts Ministry

Ash Street Baptist has a long tradition of excellence through worship in music.  In recent years this has expanded to include excellence through worship in drama as well. 

There are choirs for all ages starting with 3 year olds and going all the way to Senior Adults. 

All Children's Choirs meet on Wednesday nights from 5:45 until 6:30 p.m.  These choirs are graded. 

Our Celebration Choir for youth and adults age 16 and up rehearses every Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00.  This choir leads in worship on Sunday mornings and presents musicals during the church year, and at Christmas.

We have an instrumental ensemble that accompanies worship every Sunday.  If you play a musical instrument, we would love to add you to our team!

Finally, we have dreams of adding more contemporary musicians to our worship team.  We are praying for those who have gifts and talents on guitar, bass guitar, keyboard and drums.
